Republic Day 2025: Speech and essay ideas for students, teachers and chief guests

The entire nation is laced up to celebrate the 76th Republic Day on January 26, 2025. We celebrate Republic Day on 26 January as it is also the day when India declared its Independence “Purna Swaraj” from the British in 1930.

Republic Day is not just another Indian festival. It is the festival of joy shared between people belonging to every religion, caste, and creed. The entire country is decorated in tri-colours to convey that India is a nation where ‘Unity in Diversity’ is celebrated.

It is known that India became independent on 15th August 1947. But it took a while to write and implement the Indian Constitution which finally came into action on 26 January 1950. Since then, we celebrate January 26th as Republic Day. We also celebrate it to mark the first revolution against the British.

Republic Day 2025 Speech for Students

“Would like to wish a happy morning to our honourable principal, my beloved teachers, my supportive seniors and my lovely classmates. I also wish to tell you a few facts about this special occasion. Here we are to celebrate the 76th Republic Day of our nation.

Though our country got its independence on 15th August 1947, it took some time, two and a half years to be precise, for our constitution to come into effect.

Our constitution came into full power from 26th January 1950, from then, we started this tradition of celebrating 26th January as Republic Day which is a national day. On this auspicious day, let us all remember those legends that sacrificed their lives for our well-being.

I would like to end this speech followed by a moment of silence for those great souls. Thanks for giving me this great opportunity to stand in front of you all and express my views!”

“I would like to say good morning to our respected Principal, my teachers, my seniors and colleagues.

Let me let you know something about this special occasion. Today we are celebrating 76th republic day of our nation.

It was started celebrating since 1950, two and half years later to the Independence of India in 1947. We celebrate it every year on the 26th of January as our constitution came into effect on the same day.

After getting independence from the British rule in 1947, India was not a self-ruled county means a sovereign state. India became a self-governing country when its constitution came into effect in 1950”.

Republic Day 2025 Speech for Teachers

The Honorable chief guest of the day, respected principal, teachers, parents and my all dear friends. This time we are celebrating the 76th Republic Day of India which is why we are gathered here. Today I am going to speak a few words about Republic Clay which is a very special day for all Indian citizens and wish all of you a very happy Republic Day.

“India celebrates the Republic Day every year on the 26th of January from 1950 because on this day India was declared as a republic country as well and the constitution of India came into force after the independence of long years of struggle. India got independence on the 15th of August in 1947 and two and half years later it became the Democratic Republic. Republic Day in India has great importance in history as it tells us all about every struggle of Indian freedom fighters”.

Republic means the supreme power of the people living in the country and only public has rights to elect their representatives as a political leader to lead the country in right direction So, India is a Republic country after 26th of January 1950, where the public elects its leaders as a president, prime minister, etc. Our Great Indian freedom fighters have struggled a lot to the “Puma Swam?’ in India. We can never forget their sacrifices towards our country”.

“Respected head of the organization, colleagues/ teachers and my dear students /friends, I wish you all a delightful morning today. We all know that we have assembled there to celebrate the Republic Day of India. In the year of 1950, all the Indians were loaded with happiness as the Constitution of India came into force on this day. All and all, India became a republic country on this special day”.

“Thus, we all commemorate the values of Indian people and the spirit which makes us feel proud of being Indian. Moreover, we all appreciate the efforts of Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar on this precious day as he played a vital role in making this constitution being the head of its drafting committee.

But, this is not our sole duty to decorate the government buildings and hoisting our national flag at various places however there are a lot of more responsibilities which we all need to understand”.
