Eligibility Criteria for JEE Main 2025 Session 2
Before applying for JEE Main Session 2, candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility requirements:
- Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must have passed Class 12 in 2023 or 2024, or be appearing in Class 12 in 2025.
- Physics and Mathematics are mandatory subjects along with one additional subject (Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational subject).
- Age Limit:
- There is no age limit for appearing in JEE Main. However, candidates must meet the age requirements of the institute they are applying to (e.g., NITs/IITs).
- Minimum Marks:
- While there is no minimum percentage required to appear in JEE Main, admission to IITs and NITs requires at least 75% marks in Class 12 (65% for SC/ST candidates).
- Session-Specific Rules:
- Candidates who registered for Session 1 can use their existing application number to apply for Session 2 without re-registering.
How to Apply for JEE Main 2025 Session 2?

- Click on ‘JEE Main Session 2 Application Form’: On the homepage, click on the link for Session 2 registration.
- New Registration (if applicable): If you didn’t register for Session 1, create a new account by providing your personal details and generating an application number and password.
- Log In: Use your application number and password to log in if you already registered for Session 1.
- Fill Out the Application Form: Enter personal information, academic details, preferred exam cities, and paper preferences (Paper I for B.E./B.Tech or Paper II for B.Arch/B.Planning).
- Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of:
- Passport-sized photograph (10–300 KB) with a white background and visible face (80%).
- Scanned signature (10–50 KB).
- Class 10 certificate/mark sheet (if applicable).
- PwD certificate (if applicable).
- Pay Application Fee: Use Net Banking, Credit/Debit Card, or UPI services to pay the fee online. Additional GST charges may apply based on the payment gateway used.
- Download Confirmation Page: After successful fee payment, download and print the confirmation page as proof of registration.
