Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th) or its equivalent from a recognized board.
- For skilled trades like Cook, Barber, Washerman, etc., preference will be given to candidates with relevant Industrial Training Institute (ITI) certifications.
2. Age Limit
- Candidates must be aged between 18 and 23 years as of August 1, 2025.
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: Up to 5 years
- OBC: Up to 3 years
- Ex-Servicemen: As per government norms
3. Nationality
- Applicants must be Indian citizens.
4. Physical Standards
For Male Candidates:
- Height: Minimum 170 cm (relaxations available for certain categories)
- Chest: Minimum 80 cm, with an expansion of at least 5 cm
For Female Candidates:
- Height: Minimum 157 cm (relaxations available for certain categories)
Selection Process
The recruitment process will involve multiple stages to ensure transparency and fairness:
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates must complete a race within the stipulated time.
- Male: Run 1.6 km in under 6 minutes and 30 seconds
- Female: Run 800 meters in under 4 minutes
- Physical Standards Test (PST): Measurement of height, chest (for males), and weight as per standards.
- Documentation: Verification of educational certificates, caste certificates, domicile certificates, etc.
- Trade Test: Practical assessment based on the trade applied for (e.g., cooking skills for Cook, haircutting skills for Barber).
- Written Examination: Objective-type test conducted in English and Hindi with questions on General Awareness, Mathematics, Analytical Aptitude, and Basic Knowledge of English/Hindi.
- Medical Examination: Final assessment of physical fitness as per CISF medical standards.
Pay Scale and Benefits
Selected candidates will be appointed under Pay Level-3 of the pay matrix (₹21,700 – ₹69,100) along with other allowances as per Central Government norms. They will also be entitled to pensionary benefits under the National Pension System (NPS).
