Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- Indian Economic Service (IES):
- Candidates must have a Post-Graduate Degree in Economics, Applied Economics, Business Economics, or Econometrics from a recognized university or institute.
- Indian Statistical Service (ISS):
- Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics, Mathematical Statistics, or Applied Statistics as one of the subjects OR a Master’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematical Statistics, or Applied Statistics from a recognized university or institute.
Age Limit:
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 30 years as of August 1, 2025.
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 10 years
Application Fee
- General/OBC/EWS: ₹200
- Female/SC/ST/PwBD: Exempted

Selection Process
The selection process consists of two stages:
- Written Examination:
- The written exam will include multiple papers based on the candidate’s chosen service (IES/ISS).
- Total Marks:
- IES: 1000 marks
- ISS: 1000 marks
- Interview/Viva Voce:
- Candidates who qualify the written exam will be called for an interview worth 200 marks.
